About the project:

The Low Emission Freight and Logistics Trial will see vans go electric and lorries run on hydrogen dual-fuel under a £20 million government programme to cut emissions and improve air quality.

The aim of the competition is to demonstrate new technologies and to encourage the widespread introduction of low and zero emission vehicles to UK fleets.

The funding is being delivered by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and Innovate UK. TRL will carry out data collection and analysis of the performance, cost savings and environmental impacts of the trial vehicles to evidence impact.

Time frame

The project commenced in April 2017 and will conclude in March 2020
